Wow, we just celebrated Lukas' 10 month birthday! This past weekend we also went to a Tigers game and visited with long time friends.

The weekend of the 4th of July was very exciting in our house. We celebrated America's birthday, Ryan's birthday, AND Lukas STARTED TO CRAWL. Finally!!

March 2009 - Lukas is 6 months old

Oops, I guess I neglected my blog when I discovered Facebook! I generally do not enjoy the cold and snow of winter so it passed without a whole lot of excitement. Lukas was 18 lbs, 1.5 oz & 27 1/4 inches long at his 6 month appointment. In March he discovered his toes, he started sitting up on his own, and he started solid foods.

Wow, what happened to February? Lukas & Ryan were both sick for a couple of weeks. Ryan tried his best to stay away from Lukas which made me a single parent for several days. That's a lot of work! Anyway, here are several pictures that I've been meaning to post from the last few weeks.

4 Month Stats

Lukas had his 4 month check-up (& shots) yesterday. He weighs 16 lbs 2 ozs and is now 25 1/2 inches long which puts him in the 75-80th percentile.

Cute Sleeper

Lukas has been sleeping in his crib for about a month now. He frequently sleeps with his hands up by his head and I think it's so cute I had to share.

An important day in a little boys life

Yesterday Lukas went to Comerica Park for the first time!!! I still get tears in my eyes when I think about how exciting that is! It was a VERY cold day in Detroit, so we only participated in the "warm" activities at Tiger's Fest. We saw Justin Verlander, Ryan Rayburn, Marcus Thames, Gerald Laird, Mike Hessman, & Casper Wells. Baseball players love little boys and Lukas got an extra little arm rub from each of the players we had our picture taken with. Lukas can hardly wait until he gets to run the bases after a Sunday game. We're counting the days until April 6!!!

My mom made this dog bed last summer with some extra materials I already had around the house. I frequently find either Mika or Lucius laying on it, but yesterday I found both of them enjoying it!

Life's Milestones

Lukas rolled over this morning! He rolled from his tummy to his back. He wouldn't do it again for the video camera, but we'll keep trying to catch it. Our baby is growing up already!
